The publication’s annual list represents the editors’ top picks for mobile products from among the hundreds they evaluate each year. In naming the PDR-2 to its list, the magazine has issued a powerful endorsement that it is one of the best digital cameras available today.
The magazine praised the PDR-2’s built-in PC Card interface, calling it "an elegant process: you avoid the tangle of cables by simply plugging the camera into any PC Card slot." The camera was also commended for its ease-of-use and its performance in direct sunlight.
