Toshiba Earth Day Events 2011 in New York City
Toshiba participated in the Earth Day events at New York's Grand Central Station April 21-23. The theme of Toshiba's environmental exhibition was "A Higher Quality of Life for Earth's Future Generations, focusing on Toshiba's Process -

Products - Technologies". More than 2,000 people visited the booth which featured information on Smart Grid technologies, Home Energy Management System, and ECO STYLE. Toshiba's ECO LED TV, ECO PCs, LED lamps and ductless air conditioner were featured along with recycling program information and a park bench made from recycled toner cartridges.

Additionally, for the second year in a row, Toshiba, along with Panasonic and
the Lower East Side Ecology Center, sponsored ten electronic waste recycling events during April in each NYC borough: Staten Island and the Bronx each held one event, Manhattan and Queens each held two events and four events took place in Brooklyn.

CES 2011

The International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is the world's largest consumer technology tradeshow. CES 2011 was held from January 6-9 in Las Vegas, USA. At CES 2011, Toshiba displayed the latest Toshiba environmental products, technologies and activities. These included the 3 Green aspects "Greening of Products", "Greening by Technology" and "Greening of Process" as well as Environmental Vision 2050. At the Products area, LED lighting, Eco-TV, Notebook PC and duct-free air conditioner unit were displayed. At the Technology area, Smart Grid concept, PV projects with actual PV panel and HEMS with actual Smart meter and In-home display were displayed. At the Process area, an Eco-bench made from recycled MFP toner cartridges and U.S. recycling activities were presented.
