Toshiba America Foundation (TAF) is a non-profit grant-making organization dedicated to supporting science and mathematics education in the United States. The Foundation supports quality science and math education by providing funds for projects designed by teachers to enhance instruction for students in grades K-12.
By funding hands-on science projects that explore real-world questions, TAF helps to underscore the importance of science and technology, and spark interest in further science learning.
The Toshiba America Foundation was established in 1990 with endowment support from Toshiba Corporation; Toshiba America, Inc.; Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc., Toshiba America Consumer Products, LLC; Toshiba America Electronic Components, Inc.; Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc.; Toshiba America International Corporation; and Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc.
Since its inception, TAF has given out grants worth $8.6million dollars.
