The primary beneficiary of the tournament is Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian, a nationally acclaimed facility that provides world-class healthcare.

The tournament also sponsors the Toshiba Classic Scholarship Fund, which has awarded 98 Toshiba computers and $169,000 in grants to standout local high school seniors in the Newport-Mesa Unified School District, the Irvine Unified School District and the Saddleback Valley Unified School District, the notebook PCs and grants were provided by Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. The winners are recognized at the Toshiba Classic's annual Breakfast With A Champion. BioBlitz
The "St. Louis BioBlitz" is a 24-hour exploration and inventory of the life in Forest Park. Teams of public volunteers along with biologists searched natural areas within the park, listing as many different species as they can find.

Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. (TAIS) provided the St. Louis BioBlitz with Tablet PCs to aide researchers and scientists during the first St. Louis BioBlitz in Forest Oak. The Toshiba Tablet PCs were used by researchers and scientists to help document biodiversity in the Park.

Alan Barry, Manager, Business Development, TAIS noted: “We are very excited about this opportunity to help the St. Louis BioBlitz, Forest Park and The St. Louis Community. Toshiba is committed to the environment, and this is an ideal way to work directly with those on the front line of field science and research.”
