Toshiba rolls out its upgraded environmental audit scheme (EASTER) and conducted audits at Toshiba de Mexico (TMX) and Toshiba International Corporation (TIC) in January, 2008.

The Environmental Audit System in Toshiba on the basis of ECO Responsibility (or EASTER) is Toshiba's internal environmental audit system.  It is a robust, comprehensive tool that is used to evaluate the environmental performances of Toshiba's various sites.  EASTER provides a measure that allows auditors to ensure safety and compliance with Toshiba's stringent internal environmental standards, in addition to adherence to various state, national, and international standards and regulations.  It is a unique system that has been in place since 1993, and has been continuously updated and improved to meet the increasing challenges to protect the natural environments of Toshiba's various locations.
