Toshiba pioneered the development of Cobalt (Co)-based amorphous (non-crystalline) magnetic alloys for electronic applications. Toshiba offers amorphous magnetic cores for
noise suppression, mag-amps, snubbers and pulse transformers. Key applications
for these amorphous cores include switching power supplies, noise sensitive equipment,
medical instruments and telecommunications.
Improvements in magnetic properties have resulted from Toshiba's commitment
to research and development. Toshiba continues its R&D programs to further
improve the properties of the amorphous alloys and the magnetic components
made from them.
