| Toshiba's family of W-LEDDs feature high brightness with low-power consumption and small package size, making them ideal for LCD backlight, sub LCD display, keypad backlighting and secondary camera flash applications for battery powered devices like cellular or smart phones.
Toshiba has a broad W-LEDD portfolio that consists of switching-regulated/boost (high-efficiency) type drivers and charge-pumped (low noise) driver types. The switching-regulated/boost driver type offers temperature compensation circuitry, PWM dimming, high-voltage output drive and high current drive (up to 800mA).
The Toshiba LED drivers are available in a variety of surface mounted packages. The W-LEDDs are developed using the Toshiba leading-edge CMOS and BiCD (bipolar+CMOS+DMOS) processes. The Toshiba BiCD process combines the low-power advantages of bipolar and CMOS devices with the high-power capability of DMOS devices. |
