High Permeability Cores
The "FS" Series of Amorphous cores have permeabilities of about 100,000 at 10 kHz and retain their high permeability over a wide range of frequencies. They provide lower core loss than corresponding ferrite cores. The "FS" series cores are useful for Pulse Transformers, Input Chokes, and Common Mode Filters, among other applications.
The FS 10x4x1 is about 1 mm thick, making it one of the thinnest cores of any material available. It is ideally suited for PCMCIA cards, planar magnetics, or other applications requiring a core with a very thin profile.
