  Hitoshi Otsuka
President and CEO

Mr. Otsuka, who assumed the office of president and CEO in May 2011, has been with Toshiba Corporation since 1983 and previously served as president of Toshiba Electronics Europe (Germany) G.M.B.H., with responsibility for sales and marketing throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He was also responsible for overseeing the entire engineering effort for the European LSI Design Center. Previously, Mr. Otsuka held key positions in International Operations, Electronic Components for Toshiba Corporation in which he was responsible for semiconductor sales to leading global manufacturers, including the position of general manager of sales in Singapore (TEA). He has also held strategic planning and marketing management positions throughout his career with Toshiba, including responsibility for the Corporate Management Innovation Office (1998-1999) and System LSI's Marketing and Planning Department. Mr. Otsaka was born in Tokyo and attended the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Economics, where he earned his Bachelor's degree and Columbia University, where he earned his MBA.

  Shardul Kazi
Senior Vice President and Technology Executive, System LSI Group

Mr. Kazi is senior vice president and technology executive for the System LSI Group at Toshiba America Electronic Components, Inc. (TAEC). Mr. Kazi is responsible for System LSI Group's two Business Units - Logic LSI Business Unit and Analog and Imaging Business Unit. His responsibility includes management of business units, engineering, finance, supply chain, strategic initiatives, human resources and other support functions for System LSI Group's operations as well as profit and loss performance. As a technology executive, he oversees the entire SLG engineering effort including Standard Products engineering, SoC Design Centers, and the Design Solution Groups. Formerly he was the vice president of the Application Specific Standard Products (ASSP) Business Unit for TAEC and prior to that he was chief operating officer and vice president at ArTile Microsystems, Inc., a TAEC spin-off. Prior to TAEC, he has held several senior management level positions at companies such as Adaptec, SONY Microsystems, MIPS Computer Systems, and AMD.

Scott Maccabe is a vice president of Toshiba America Electronic Components, Inc. and general manager of the Storage Products business unit. His responsibilities include strategic business planning, profit and loss, general management for engineering, technical support, operations, sales and marketing groups for the company’s storage business in the Americas as well as the key global accounts of the Storage Solutions Company. Maccabe’s strong management background includes over 30 years of IT industry experience with an emphasis on the storage industry. He has held leadership positions in general management, sales, marketing, technical support and strategic and operations planning in leading companies including Quantum, Vangard, Fujitsu Computer products and StorageTek. Maccabe is committed to community support and has been a board member for four years with the Mission Hospital Systems Foundation board of directors.
