Toshiba recognizes the need for advanced semiconductor
devices and components that are designed with
and use materials that take environmental
impact into account. As a result, Toshiba
has given increased attention to making solutions
available to its customers that use new materials,
and has transitioned a significant portion
of its manufacturing to RoHS-Compatible products.
Toshiba has a broad selection of products available today that are intended to meet the requirements of the Directive 2002/95/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 January 2003 on the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, which became effective July 1, 2006. Toshiba is committed to finding effective and appropriate responses to its customers' requirements and those of environmental agencies worldwide.
