The Panasonic EVAL PAN1026 Series dual mode Place and Play Bluetooth® Module Evaluation kit consists of two PAN1026ETU development SMD modules and enables you to do simple prototyping and testing of the Toshiba TC35661-502 Bluetooth IC with the help of the EasyDualMode software under Related Information (Easy SPP, Bluetooth Demo Software and Quick Start). For greater levels of testing, Toshiba also offers the Toshiba starter kits.

The Bluetooth IC can later be purchased as a discrete IC or as part of the ready-to-use Panasonic PAN1026 Place and Play Bluetooth Module.

Panasonic Module

The Panasonic PAN1026 Series Place and Play Bluetooth module features Toshiba TC35661-502 Bluetooth 4.0 IC, with embedded ARM® processor, embedded Bluetooth protocol stack, serial port profile (SPP), command set API , integrated EEPROM and antenna. Bluetooth 4.0 combines the legacy of Bluetooth Classic and the ultra-fast connection set up time and flexibility of Bluetooth Low Energy. Bluetooth Low Energy is designed to create low data rate networks using a minimum amount of power. The embedded serial port profile (SPP) and BLE-GATT profile frees application resources while the command set API creates a simple but flexible firmware interface. An onboard antenna does away with 2.4GHz RF circuit complexity.

Product design cycles may be reduced using Panasonic’s reference design and design review services. PCB layouts are simplified using available Gerber files and minimized with Panasonic’s small footprint technology. The module is just 15.6mm x 8.7mm x 1.9mm and fully shielded to improve immunity.  Panasonic Bluetooth RF module carries FCC, IC, CE and Bluetooth certifications.

Toshiba TransferJet, IC modules and accessories enable high-speed communication between two devices positioned next to each other. This wireless technology allows large volumes of data, media or video to be shared securely and quickly. There is no need for complex setup, device pairing or the use of access points. Simply touching together two TransferJet-enabled devices can transfer large files.

Toshiba Near Field Communication (NFC) solutions are designed to facilitate easy connections, quick transactions, and simple data sharing with very short-range, highly secure communication. Toshiba’s NFC controller chip enables small amounts of data to be shared confidentially between two electronic devices and supports multiple identities by interfacing with 3 Secure Elements.
