General Job Description The Field Service Engineer will perform field and in-house troubleshooting and repair of Toshiba Adjustable Speed Drives. This opportunity offers extensive training in Toshiba Products, strong technical support and the stability of a Toshiba’s world renowned success. Primary Functions and Responsibilities: • Perform start-up and repair of most company products, both in-house and at customer locations • Assist other service personnel with troubleshooting, repair and product application problems • Train customers and Toshiba employees on product trouble shooting, repair and application • Follow established procedures to account for, and safeguard, resources taken to job sites • Prepare a service report for each job worked with detailed information as appropriate. • Assist manufacturing and engineering in identifying and correcting problems with Toshiba equipment and parts • Provide customer telephone assistance as required. Minimum Position Requirements: This position requires an Electrical Engineering or Electrical/Electronics Tech Degree and the ability to travel up to 80% of the time. Military experience also acceptable. Desired: Experience in the design or maintenance of power electronics equipment. Knowledge of common hand and power tools normally found in the power electronics trade (oscilloscope, torque wrench, volt meter), electronic test equipment, chart recorders, high voltage test equipment computer and computer interfaces Physical requirements: All physical functions normally associated with an electrical working at a start-up and/or construction site; lifting, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, working in cramped locations and in dusty non-climatically controlled situations.
