Account Development Engineer
Responsible for generating new customer demand and account retention and penetration activities for TAEC’s entire product portfolio specifically targeted to Apple Inc. Position will provide technical and administrative product information and demonstrations to Apple Inc. Negotiation skills are required as the position demands regular price, schedule, and contract negotiations. Applicant must have strong presentation skills. Responsible for developing business plans, product strategies, and forecasts for generating demand. Frequent customer meeting to review tactical issues as well collaborating on long term strategic goals. Maintains current status of customer requirements for existing and future products. Identifies, evaluates, and recommends demand generation development opportunities back to the TAEC BU’s and the design teams. Utilizes technical background and expertise to assure accomplishment of technology objectives of the customer as well as TAEC.
The position is based in San Jose, California, and requires offshore and some domestic travel.
Required Experience:
Qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BSEE), and 5 - 8 years of working experience; or 3 - 6 years experience with an MSEE. Semiconductor experience is required. Must have the ability to independently evaluate and select Toshiba products for the customer. Must have good people skills to develop multi-functional relationships with other business units, customers, and TSB (Toshiba Semiconductor Japan).
Other Experience:
Background in Sales, Marketing, and Business Development preferred. Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
