The Self-Installation Wizard will walk you through the necessary steps to prepare your computer and modem for installation of your cable modem service. Here are the functions performed by the Self-Installation Wizard:

• Checks your system for minimum configuration based upon your cable modem provider
• Walks you through connection of all the components included with your PCX Cable Modem
• Tests the connection between your computer and your PCX Cable Modem
• Configures your computer's network settings in preparation for connection to your cable provider's cable TV network
• Walks you through solutions to common installation errors with easy-to-follow steps
• Optionally can set up your email and web browser
