TOSHIBA APPOINTS SCOTT J. MACCABE AS VICE PRESIDENT AND GENERAL MANAGER OF THE STORAGE DEVICE DIVISION

Maccabe Brings Strong Global Sales, Management and Marketing Background

IRVINE, Calif, Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. (TAIS) today announced that Scott J. Maccabe has joined the company as vice president and general manager of Toshiba’s Storage Device Division (SDD). Maccabe’s responsibilities include the strategic planning and direction of the division, as well as managing day-to-day operations. He replaces Rod Keller, who was promoted to executive vice president of Toshiba’s Computer Systems Group. 

Maccabe’s background includes over 20 years of business experience in sales, marketing, service and strategic/operation planning. Prior to joining Toshiba, Maccabe served as senior vice president of sales, marketing and service at Quantum/ATL Corporation. His responsibilities included overseeing Quantum’s global sales and marketing efforts, as well as participating in Quantum’s corporate executive strategic planning team. Maccabe also held management positions with Storage Technology Corporation and Fujitsu Computer Products of America.
