TOSHIBA STORAGE DEVICE DIVISION WINS SUPPLIER PERFORMANCE AWARD FROM SUN MICROSYSTEMS

Storage technology leader recognized for its contributions to Sun’s rapid growth

IRVINE, Calif, Toshiba America Information Systems (TAIS), Storage Device Division (SDD) today announced that it was among an elite group of suppliers to earn a Supplier Performance Award from Sun Microsystems, Inc. Founded in 1990 to recognize the best efforts of Sun’s suppliers, the Supplier Performance Awards honor achievements in the areas of cost-effectiveness, quality, availability and technology.

A supplier since 1993, Toshiba is a key provider of enterprise and server optical storage products. Toshiba was one of a select group of companies honored at this year’s award ceremony, and was commended for its continued best-of-breed performance among removable storage suppliers.
