Toward the goal of Toshiba Group's Environmental Vision 2050 - People Leading Rich Lifestyles in Harmony with the Earth - the Corporate Research & Development Center of Toshiba Corporation aims to contribute to society through R&D of excellent environmentally conscious products and technologies in the business fields of Toshiba Group. Recognizing the Earth is an irreplaceable asset and it is humankind's duty to hand it on to future generations in a sound state, we vigorously promote environmental management.
Promotion of Environmental Management
On the basis of compliance with legal requirements concerning the environment and Toshiba Group's objectives and guidelines, we assess the environmental aspects of R&D and site operation and specify environmental objectives and targets concerning the reduction of environmental impacts and prevention of pollution to be pursued by all our employees and the like. We strive to continuously improve environmental management systems through internal audits and reviews of activities
Promotion of R&D of Environmentally Conscious Products and Technologies and Reduction of Environmental Impacts of Site Operation
We recognize that natural resources are finite and implement the following measures to promote their effective and practical use in terms of both R&D and site operation in order to reduce environmental impacts and environmental risks . At the same time, we strive to create new values.
