The presentation of the morning by small student groups were as polished as if they were the final presentations. Imagining a Sustainable Future

The Toshiba Youth Conference for a Sustainable Future is designed to deepen awareness of environmental concerns and help students educate themselves about the role of science and technology in creating a sustainable future.

Students present their own sustainability research, participate in workshops, and take educational fields trips in and around Tokyo and Yokohama, Japan.

A dedicated website enables students to communicate about their conference research both before and after there time in Japan.

Seminars for teachers -- at Tokyo University and in Yokohama -- enable participating educators to explore new strategies for promoting environmental, scientific and intercultural learning.
