I bought this product to replace a Macair and I'm very satisfied with it, particlarly in terms of weight, features, and performance. The aesthetics are lacking so this is not the most attractive laptop you can find. This is the laptop version of a Volvo--works great, but no visual appeal.

Laptop may have defective SSD

The laptop had been working well for nine months but suddenly can not wake up any more for no reason. The SSD is no longer recognized in power-up. All data are lost. Searched the SSD (sandforce 200026BB) on the web and found dozens of Mac Air users' complaint of dead SSD (exact same sandforce) in the last couple weeks. It looks like the life time of this SSD is less than one year.
