Found the laptop with Windows 7 to be extremely easy to set up and use. I configure and setup HP laptops almost everyday and I use and recommend the Toshiba laptops due to their performance and price-value. Only thing I have purchased extra was a blue-tooth laptop mouse.

Great Value!

I love my new Toshiba! It was easy to set up and has been operating like a gem! Very user friendly and has lots of built in compatabilities to cameras, etc. The only thing I would wish for is a couple more USB ports. There are currently two. I definitely would recommend to anyone who asks. I'm so glad we went with Toshiba!

I got this laptop from my wife for Christmas because the screen went out on my 3-year old HP laptop. I have used it every day since then and like its speed and capabilities. However, I installed a number of MS Windows XP programs because I refuse to buy all new software. Some of them had serious problems running on Windows 7--constant lock-ups, boot failures, not recognizing files saved from the old computer to the new one, etc. I solved most of them by saving all my files from the old computer to an external hard drive, but the new computer sometimes fails to recognize the external hard drive. So, my problems seem to be Windows 7 compatibility problems, not Toshiba computer problems.

My last laptop was a Sony Vaio. The Toshiba is easy to use and I have enjoyed the features. The keyboard is still a little hard for me to use. I have small hands and sometimes hit the wrong keys. I enjoy having the number pad on this laptop. My Sony did not have one. I like the hinged screen, it is easy to open and close. I am still getting use to the touchpad. Especially the zoom in-out feature.
