Happy Consumer

Just got the L505-S5995 for Christmas and am very pleased. It does everything I need, even play Dragon Age :D. I would have rather had an AMD processor but I'm sure I will get used to the Intel ;). It has good sound, I love the graphics quality, its big enough to watch movies and play games but not so big and bulky as the 17in, good compromise between size and viewability. I like the way it adjusts to external light levels itself, nice little app there. It did not come with as much bloatware other brands have but seems to have some redundant programs not just with windows 7 but also with itself( namely diagnostics In PC health monitor and the HHD SSD alert) still they are good programs for what they do. I have disabled and/or turned off several programs choosing performance over what I see as unnecessary(for me) I like the keyboard layout it is very easy to type for a laptop. I like the facial recognition. My only concern is the video. It was supposed to be 512 dedicated (which is my reason for choosing it) with a possible 1278Mb more integrated for a total of 1768mb. i cant seem to find where it says 512 dedicated. It says 1768MB video in Dxdiag with the ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 4500 Series, but in system in control panel it says 512mb with the ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 4500 Series. Thats sort of right but I wish they would clearly state on the laptop itself that it has a 512 dedicated or discrete video card as well as 1278 mb more integrated. Its nice for the Toshiba website to say that, but I would feel more comfortable actually seeing it displayed on my laptop itself. Overall I really am pleased though with the price I paid,. vs the quality, which is as always Toshibas strong point.
