Do you use Google Apps?
Designed by Google, the Chrome operating system thrives in Google’s ecosystem of web-based apps and services. All of Google’s apps work seamlessly across Google devices – from your smartphone to your tablet to your Chromebook – allowing you to easily access and maintain all your files and media. Creating and editing text documents and spreadsheets with Google Docs is easy – and the apps are free. Gmail accounts automatically sync with Google Calendar. Your bookmarks and preferences in the Chrome browser will follow you wherever you choose to log in. Group chats, live video streaming, and video calls are easy with Google Hangouts. And you can add more apps and extensions via the Chrome Web Store.
If you’re already using Google’s apps and services on your Windows or Apple® devices, the move to a Chromebook should be smooth and easy. If you’re accustomed to working in natively installed desktop apps such as Microsoft® Office, the transition to the new interface may take some getting used to, but you will still be able to open, convert, and edit the same files for spreadsheets, word documents, presentations, and more.
