Execellent computer

POSTED BY: PC User
Overall rating: 5 out of 5 5 out of 5

I was a bit hesitant about buying a Toshiba PC at first. However, I have to say I am genuinely impressed with this computer. It is fast, responsive and reliable. The only thing I don't really like about it is Windows 8 Which has a slightly confusing interface, but I guess I'd get used to it eventually.

Update to My October 28, 2013 Review

It has been almost three months since I purchased this computer and am very happy with my purchase. This review is to update you to some issues I encountered with upgrading to Windows 8.1 and 8.1 Pro. It seems Toshiba issued some type of bulletin regarding this but I never saw or read it. You first have to do all software updates to the current Windows 8. Thereafter, there are certain files that must be deleted prior to the free upgrade to 8.1 or it will cause problems with future Toshiba updates. Thereafter you can continue with the purchased upgrade to the Pro, if desired. I ended up having to call Toshiba and paid for software service for one year and had them access my computer to perform the fix as this step was preventing the Toshiba system updates to take place. Windows updates were not affected. This took well over an hour so please be sure to check into this before doing any updates to avoid future headaches. Despite this hiccup I am now a very happy customer.

Solid deal

I bought this because of the chip as well as the touch screen. I use it for my desktop replacement and have not been unhappy. I got it with Windows 8, then upgraded to 8.1. While Microsoft has the usual hassles, this machine has been perfect. I also upgraded the RAM, which was easy once you figured out that you have to pry off the back shield to gain access. BUT, I don't think the upgrade from 8 to 16 was worth it, the machine was super fast right out of the box and going to 16 hasn't changed anything. It boots very, very fast which is a really big deal for me. The funny thing is that I got the touch screen specifically so that I could get the full use out of 8.1, and in real life work, I rarely ever touch the screen, my wireless mouse and keyboard are my go to devices. I'd buy this again in a heartbeat.

Great all-in-one

Fast, attractive design, relatively quiet, beautiful display. The only thing I would change is the hard drive as I prefer SSDs, but the hard drive in the PX35T isn't too bad. Keyboard is good (sleep button is a nice touch), and the mouse is surprisingly comfortable even though it is oddly shaped. Overall, I'm satisfied.

So far no issues !

Love My All-in-One

I had been searching for a while and could not make up my mind whether to get an all-in-one or another desktop with a tower. I am so happy that I chose the best All-in-One Touch Screen Toshiba had to offer. My unsightly wires are all gone and the only two wires I have connected are my Modem and Printer. I looked at Dell and HP but they were not attractive and looked bulky. The Toshiba is very sleek and sits neatly on the desk and was a breeze to set up. My only challenge was Windows 8. The computer is not delivered with all the software updated. I tried to get the free upgrade to 8.1 but it wouldn't work until all other software updates were installed. I then tried to upgrade to the Pro and had to call Microsoft for help as the Product Key I purchased was not being accepted. Once everything was done, however, it was a breeze and I absolutely love it. It will take a while for me to navigate Windows and probably by the time I get the hang of it there will be something new. I am thoroughly enjoying my computer and would highly recommend this purchase.

Hate this computer

This is the worst computer and I totally regret buying it. When typing, it always skips letters and more often than none, when browsing on the internet, it get's stuck. Very frustrating. I will never by another Toshiba product and wish I would have stayed with my original choice in purchasing a Gateway.
