Good Solid Workhorse

This laptop has a nice feel to it. Screen size is great, processing speed is great, so far it has done everything I have asked it to. I appreciate that Toshiba did not over do it on special software and advertising. There are some Toshiba apps like the Desktop Assistant and Service Station that make updates, etc easy. Easily upgraded from Win8 to 8.1, working fine. The Pentium CPU stacks up nicely against some of the more expensive CPU's. I have found for normal internet work, spreadsheets, downloads that the laptop is fine. Using HDMI cable to connect to 25 inch TV for main monitor, love it!! No regrets.

This laptop is great and the best buy for the money. Updated to 8.1 pro and has ran perfect with no glitches. The features and options and durability on Toshiba are some of the best over other laptops and mac books. Internal SD card runs and reads fine, I use the adapter card to sync pics and videos off my Galaxy S4 micro SD card. Storage is never ending it seems. 2 USB ports including the 3.0 port are great for using a wireless mouse and at the same time syncing your cell phone, viewing or downloading flasdrive contents or syncing cameras and other media. Battery works great and stays up quite awhile being that I use mine all day at work 9 hours a day for quality management. Viewing blueprints, sharing media, socializing, memory space, utilities and features, you wont find another brand better at disversitility, durability, features and options. I also run the HDMI to my 55" Vizio television and the high definition is beyond what I expected. Directly view everything on your cell phone or camera or falshdrives etc, all on your high definition flat screens. Toshiba is the best for durability and feature otions at the best price without a doubt.

Not a high speed powerhouse, but a rock solid laptop for school or business. You can play games with it but don't expect too much. One thing I would add (and be willing to pay a little extra for) is a SD card reader. I plan on upgrading the hard drive and memory later. For the price, it's the BEST laptop you can get.

Solid Performer

The laptop has a nice feel with high quality screen. Battery life of 5hr is another nice quality.

This laptop has a good screen size and its easy to use. The only down side is that it would freeze on me for half a minute a couple of times.

Good but not great.

I'm not sure if this is a Toshiba Windows or Google issue. My issue is that the machine is preloaded with bunches of Google applications taking up space & I will never use them. The problem is you can't delete them from the laptop & you cant move them to your external SD card. This may not be an issue for you, but it drives me crazy. Make it so we can delete them!

Out of the battery charge

So maybe its a fluke. A wonderful gift from my boyfriend--surely the thought that counts. However, having never owned a Toshiba myself, and finding myself with a lovely, brand new laptop--I was excited--until I realized that the battery wouldn't hold a charge (keep in mind portability is one solid high priority reason for owning a laptop!). So, for first impressions on this laptop--wouldn't buy a Toshiba--I'll take this one back to the store and hope that they allow a return. If they offer a new battery, and no choice, I'll have to keep it--but I'll be wondering, "what next?"

Poor Battery

Bought the computer in December 2013 (two months) and the battery will not charge. The system will not update because the battery has less than 25% charge, so we are stuck. I like the computer but the battery is its downfall. I would recommend if the battery was better.

There are too many commercial soft wares included on this basic computer. Pop up screens galore while you are using the computer

Laptop keyboard is broken

Is a pity, but the laptop had the keyboard broken, I mean that about 20% of computer keys does not work at all, but the computer have good things like high speed, RAM memory, nice design.
