I am completely enjoying my new laptop. It is of excellent quality. I can just imagine if I had bought a more expensive laptop. I will always be purchasing Toshiba products.

I got in the market for a newer laptop not because I needed one more because I wanted another laptop. My first Toshiba purchased in 2007 was a Satellite as well. It still works great and I have connected it to my television to surf from there. My first Toshiba has outlived several of my friends HP's, Compaqs, Dells, and even a friends Apple. So this computer is nice for the price and you get a lot with it. Although my first Toshiba is two softwares behind. I am getting good at using Windows 8 but still not a fan. That has nothing to do with the product at all.

Good Value, Bad touch Pad, Bad Screen- a little fuzzy and small range of viewing. Must be set just right to see things clearly.

Decent, could be faster

Nice laptop, quad core, I expected it to be faster than it is. I hate Windows 8. Overall it is a nice laptop. I wish it had a hard disk activity light.

Its Blah

I usually like Toshiba products but was kind of disappointed with this one. The mouse pad is terrible. Its difficult to track and then hit the mouse buttons without the pointer moving off the item you want to click on. The DVD drive is also so hard to open that I just used an on screen icon to open it with instead of using the side button most times. Windows 8 is so horrible and I kept getting 100% disk usage that I was unable to do anything on the computer. I even tried error fixing the drive and reinstalling Windows but the problem came back. I finally ended up installing an SSD and Windows 7 on the computer.

Lousy Touchpad

The overall performance of the touchpad is way below average. The mouse jumps around, double click on the touchpad hardly ever works, and double click on the lower key area doesn't work all that well either. I have changed settings to try and make the pad more responsive, and to make it less responsive, but those changes made no improvement on the touchpad.

I want microsoft 7

This is the worst operating system I've ever tried. I think that I would love the computer with 7.

Don't like it

The mouse pad is WAY to sensitive - I find the mouse clicking on things I did not want to click on. My computer freezes up - I will try to open an email from MSN, and it will take forever - I will have to shut the computer off and turn it back on, and that does not always solve the problem. The computer freezes up at other times too - while trying to open a window while surfing the web, opening a program with nothing else open on the desktop, etc. I don't like Window's 8. Too busy and confusing. No clear way to exit windows you open. Windows used to always have an "x" in the upper corner to close a window. Now they don't.
