Excellent Laptop

POSTED BY: SomedudefromKC
Overall rating: 5 out of 5 5 out of 5

I got this laptop for christmas and it is absolutely wonderful. Runs very cool, even when I'm playing games that are quite cumbersome. The built in microphone is very high quality for skype and the laptop itself is very quiet, even when the fan kicks on. The only thing I have noticed is that when it is very quiet (cant even hear the fan) I can hear the hard drive click very quietly. Doesn't bother me any but I did notice it. The battery life is excellent when I'm just playing music but drains fairly quickly with some bigger games. All in all the best laptop I have ever owned by far.

USB Problem

So, I bought this laptop about 3 weeks ago over an ASUS (my preferred brand) that was only a very small amount better spec-wise, but cost $100 more. Now I wish I'd bought the ASUS. The computer's been great, for the most part. Love the graphics, can play my games without freezing or lagging, and the sound was so much better than my last computer. But then, a week later, my phone stopped showing up on the computer when I'd plug it in. After wiggling it around a bit in all three USB ports, it started working again. Okay. Maybe just a one-off problem? Nope. It kept happening until now, 2 weeks later, my phone never shows up and my external hard drives have stopped showing up as well. And the whole point of this computer is movie watching, music listening, and a little game playing for me. If you take away the first two, the last one isn't enough to make this computer worth it. And if that wasn't enough, my wireless mouse stopped working today, so there goes the gaming too. I haven't dropped my computer, spilled anything on it, downloaded anything, or visited any dangerous sites with it, yet it's broken the record for being useless to me in less than 3 weeks.
