The Satellite I am reviewing has been sent back to Toshiba for repair after one month of use. This review is being sent from a Satellite I have owned for eight years. I like this product so my rating is guarded until I find out if Toshiba"s warranty makes good on the S75-A.

Looks good but the mouse pad is soo not sensitive, I have to press too hard to get a click. My DVD drive slot is hanging out and just wont go in fully. OH, I hate windows 8, it just make life so difficult. Getting around give me headache. There is not even an option to hibernate you computer. I like the fact that the keyboard lights up though.

Decent Laptop

This is a pretty good laptop. It's quick and runs all of my applications. The battery life is okay, not great. There is one very frustrating component about this laptop: the track pad is practically unusable. It really is awful. You have no control over what is clicked, and it randomly switches apps whenever I'm trying to scroll. Just make sure you have a mouse to use with this laptop and everything will be fine.

Very disappointing

I loved my old Toshiba and therefore insisted on a Toshiba for the new one ...sorry I did. My biggest frustration is the keyboard - it is not sensitive at all - even writing an email is torturous, with many missed keys and spaces - horrible - and my old Toshiba was so easy! Many keyboard complaints online - wish I had seen them before I bought this. I also do not like windows 8. The icons in the lower right corner can be difficult to pop up making shut down very hard - also having to swipe the screen rather than x out is a pain. We finally installed a program that makes the computer act like a former version of windows - with x's to shut down programs. I also lost my favorite version of hearts - the new ones are awful. It is also a smaller screen, the power cord is in an awkward place and the CD and card reader are VERY hard to access. If I hadn't spent so much money I would get rid of this computer - Toshiba has lost my loyalty with this horrible keyboard! I'm sure I am not using half of the stuff on this computer because it is so difficult to figure out HOW to use it. Newer should be better this case it isn't!
