I am enjoying my laptop

I am really enjoying my new laptop. It seems to work very well I am sure I will enjoy it for several years to come.

Happy with my choice.

The computer does everything I had hoped it would do. It's very responsive and easy to use. My biggest concern is the CD tray. It's too difficult to find when the machine is on a hard flat surface. Tiny problem and I would recommend to a close friend.

Second Time was the Charm

I first order this laptop with horrendous results. I sent it back and was brave enough to reorder the same laptop. Well, what a difference. I am enjoying this second laptop and not encountering any problems at all. I am really happy that I reorder a second time because it is well worth it.

1) Wireless keeps dropping 2) TouchPad Horrible ! Needs to be pressed hard. Cursor keeps jumping erratically here and there when typing. 3) Keys not too comfy. Would prefer them more raised and more soft.

Disappointing

I bought this to replace my old Toshiba, and in comparison it's been a disappointment. All the ports (Power, USB, ethernet) are inconveniently placed on the sides. This is especially problematic on the right side where the USB 3.0 and Ethernet connections are toward the front of the unit and interfere if you are using an external mouse. The main heat vent is also placed on the right where it constantly vents hot air onto your hand if you're using an external mouse on that side. The built in mouse isn't particular accurate or easy to use. I wanted to eventually upgrade the 1 TB hard drive to SSD, but it doesn't appear to be possible to have two hard drives installed, and to replace the current 1 TB drive with an equivalent SSD will be very expensive. I'm rated this three stars instead of two because without these flaws it would have been an exceptional computer considering the features to price ratio.

SLOW

This units looks great with aluminum case, back-lit tile keys that are nice to type with, a large bright screen, and a generally well-built feel as far as the case goes. The touchpad is universally despised - it's awful and feels like the cheapest possible plastic version from the early 1990s; you have to jam it with your finger to click. The Harman/Kardon speaker is a surprising disappointment; it's quieter than the standard speakers on my old Toshiba and must be listened to with very low input levels or there is serious distortion. The biggest problem however is the speed. This computer isn't lighting fast like you would expect a new computer to be, it's quite slow. Moreover - either due to the AMD processor or the mountain of proprietary software (Toshiba, Norton, etc.) this computer is unusably slow on the Web. A test of three different laptops (with the help of an AT&T technician) demonstrated broadband speeds of 5.0+ Mbps for every other device, but this computer is 0.6 Mpbs - akin to having dial-up! If this problem cannot be fixed, it's going back ASAP.

This one is going back

I took my chances with another Toshiba and I regret it!! This laptop has a hard time connecting to the internet and is really slow. Not thrilled with all the apps and extras loaded on this system because I'm just going to have to uninstall and delete a majority of them. Microsoft on this laptop is a whole other story and they make it tough to avoid having to "Set up an account" with them. Bye bye Toshiba - you're getting returned!!

Awful

worst computer I have ever owned. slow and unresponsive. I am not the type of person who complains or usually returns items that I have purchased, but this was the exception. Glad it is out of my house.
