Toshiba’s Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS) solutions seek to capture CO2 at its source, store it, and utilize it to support other projects by repurposing the carbon and assist with emissions reduction. Finding alternative ways to utilize captured CO2 contributes to a net-zero future.

Toshiba is actively involved in the planning, design, and evaluation of CO2 capture plants and continues to optimize the integration of high-performance CO2 capture technology.

At the Mikawa Power Plant, our CCUS technology captures over 600 tons of CO2 daily—accounting for more than half of the plant’s emissions. This initiative not only cuts carbon but also supports sustainable agriculture and algae cultivation.
