LF511 – Capacitance

The LF511 Capacitance Sanitary electromagnetic flow meter is designed for demanding hygienic applications and offers an exclusive ultra-low conductivity specification of 0.01 µS/cm at flow rates up to 9.84 ft/s. This makes it suitable for both standard and ultra-low conductivity service. Sanitary flowmeters must be structured in such a way that operation and handling is simple, easy and thorough for the purpose of sanitary control such as cleaning (CIP/SIP), sterilization and drying.

Application examples are cement, grout, return condensate, etc.

The capacitance type Electromagnetic flowmeter, model LF511/LF541employs the surface electrode system outside the alumina ceramic tube, therefore, the electrodes do not come in contact with the process fluid. Its unique technology and mechanical design, make it available for use not only on conventional applications but also on new applications such as low conductivity, abrasive and high concentration slurry.

With a thermal shock tolerance of 302 °F (150 °C) in just 0.5 seconds, delivering robust performance in dynamic sanitary processing conditions.

Overview

Insulated Bearings

  • An electric motor operating on an adjustable speed drive is at risk for premature bearing failure caused by stray currents. Experience indicates using insulated bearings on both ends of the motors is the most effective way to protect the motor from destructive currents. A high level of bearing protection is especially beneficial in applications where motor maintenance and replacement are difficult.
  • Extended Horsepower Capability

  • Extended horsepower capability allows a smaller motor to run at a higher horsepower than its baseline depending on the application requirements. This provides motor users potential cost savings while achieving the same motor performance.
  • Insulation with Wide Thermal Capability

  • Critical cooling motors utilize many Class H insulation materials in its winding designs, which provides increased thermal protection. These motors operate with a very low temperature rise at rated conditions, giving them a wide thermal margin and extended motor life.
  • Low Vibration

  • A vibration level exceeding NEMA MG1 requirements provides stability and durability by prolonging motor and bearing life and helping to reduce downtime.
