5000 Series 15 to 50kVA

In 1967, Toshiba introduced the world’s first large-capacity uninterruptible power system (200 kVA). Continuing this legacy, Toshiba now offers the Industrial 5000 Series UPS, available in two configurations: the three-phase in, single-phase out 3P1 Solution and the NEMA 3R Solution for harsh environments. Both models feature industrial-grade components designed for a 20-year lifespan, with integrated surge protection.

The 5000 Series 3P1 Solution is ideal for industrial applications like petrochemical and oil refineries, offering a robust design with a Maintenance Bypass Cabinet and plant-style alarm indicators. The NEMA 3R Solution, designed for outdoor and dusty environments such as mining and transportation hubs, supports three-phase power input/output and operates in temperatures ranging from -10°C to 50°C.

5000 Series 3P1 (Indoor):

  • Three-phase power input, single-phase power output
  • Designed for industrial-grade applications like petrochemical, oil, and gas refineries
  • Includes integrated Maintenance Bypass Cabinet, touchscreen mimic panel, and plant-style alarm indicators

 

5000 Series N3R (Outdoor):

  • Suitable for harsh environments such as water/wastewater, mining, manufacturing, pipelines, and transportation hubs
  • Accommodates three-phase power input and output with all-IGBT architecture
  • Available with or without integrated battery storage
  • NEMA 3R rated enclosure withstands temperatures from -10°C to 50°C

Insulated Bearings

  • An electric motor operating on an adjustable speed drive is at risk for premature bearing failure caused by stray currents. Experience indicates using insulated bearings on both ends of the motors is the most effective way to protect the motor from destructive currents. A high level of bearing protection is especially beneficial in applications where motor maintenance and replacement are difficult.
  • Extended Horsepower Capability

  • Extended horsepower capability allows a smaller motor to run at a higher horsepower than its baseline depending on the application requirements. This provides motor users potential cost savings while achieving the same motor performance.
  • Insulation with Wide Thermal Capability

  • Critical cooling motors utilize many Class H insulation materials in its winding designs, which provides increased thermal protection. These motors operate with a very low temperature rise at rated conditions, giving them a wide thermal margin and extended motor life.
  • Low Vibration

  • A vibration level exceeding NEMA MG1 requirements provides stability and durability by prolonging motor and bearing life and helping to reduce downtime.
