LF516 – Capacitance Severe Service Wafer

The LF516 is built for extreme process conditions, offering one of the toughest and most capable flow meter designs available today. Its exclusive electrodeless Float-N-Place™ alumina ceramic liner delivers outstanding resistance to abrasion, corrosion, adhesion, and thermal shock—making it a top choice for severe service applications.

With an ultra-low conductivity specification of 0.01 µS/cm at flow rates up to 9.84 ft/s, the LF516 operates reliably in environments where low conductivity flow meters struggle or fail.

Toshiba’s ceramic liner is specially mounted “inside” the flow tube (Float-N-Place™) and does not protrude to the outside of the body like conventional ceramic flow meters. This exclusive float-inside-the-body design virtually eliminates the possibility of breakage due to accidental bumping of the flow meter or rapid temperature changes since flanges do not constrain the ceramic liner. Insulated Bearings

  • An electric motor operating on an adjustable speed drive is at risk for premature bearing failure caused by stray currents. Experience indicates using insulated bearings on both ends of the motors is the most effective way to protect the motor from destructive currents. A high level of bearing protection is especially beneficial in applications where motor maintenance and replacement are difficult.

  • Extended horsepower capability allows a smaller motor to run at a higher horsepower than its baseline depending on the application requirements. This provides motor users potential cost savings while achieving the same motor performance.
