TE-H

The TE-H Series from Toshiba is a versatile and robust solution for industrial applications. It combines the performance of Toshiba’s TE2 Series Solid State Starter within a heavy-duty enclosure, which provides reliable soft starting, motor and load protection, and flexible control options. Ready to use right out of the box, the TE-H Series simplifies installation. It is ideal for pumps, fans, blowers, and conveyors with closed-loop torque/current ramping for smooth acceleration and for compressors and chillers with voltage ramping and current limiting for efficient starts in limited power conditions.

Overview

TE2 Chassis

Provides stepless soft starting for three-phase AC induction motors, effectively protecting mechanical components from excessive torque stress and shielding electrical systems from high inrush currents.

 

Robust Design

UL Type 4/12 enclosures offer durable, versatile, and safe protection against environmental elements including dust, water, and non-corrosive liquids, making it ideal for indoor and outdoor harsh industrial environments.

Insulated Bearings

  • An electric motor operating on an adjustable speed drive is at risk for premature bearing failure caused by stray currents. Experience indicates using insulated bearings on both ends of the motors is the most effective way to protect the motor from destructive currents. A high level of bearing protection is especially beneficial in applications where motor maintenance and replacement are difficult.
  • Extended Horsepower Capability

  • Extended horsepower capability allows a smaller motor to run at a higher horsepower than its baseline depending on the application requirements. This provides motor users potential cost savings while achieving the same motor performance.
  • Insulation with Wide Thermal Capability

  • Critical cooling motors utilize many Class H insulation materials in its winding designs, which provides increased thermal protection. These motors operate with a very low temperature rise at rated conditions, giving them a wide thermal margin and extended motor life.
  • Low Vibration

  • A vibration level exceeding NEMA MG1 requirements provides stability and durability by prolonging motor and bearing life and helping to reduce downtime.
