EF2: Grounding fault

Cause:
1) A ground fault occurred in the output wiring or the motor.
2) This fault can also occur, in rare cases, when the motor is accelerated or decelerated too quickly .

Clearing:
1) Check the motor and cabling for a ground fault.
2) Increase the acceleration/deceleration time.
Inspect the motor and driven equipment for issues prior to clearing any faults. Use one of the following methods to clear the fault.
• The [STOP/RESET] button on the AS3 keypad was pressed twice in quick succession
• Activate a digital input that has been programmed to “Reset” function
• Set the tyP (F007) Parameter to: 4: Clear past trips
Discussion
Ground faults occur when one or more of phase goes to ground. This can occur either in the motor or in the cables connecting the motor to the drive. Use of Megohm meter is usually required to determine the location of the fault.
