Toshiba’s tandem-compound, four-flow, condensing steam turbines are typically applied to 4x1, 3x1 and 2x1 combined-cycle configurations featuring F-, G- or H-class gas turbines. These turbines range in output from 350—600 MW and feature last stage blades lengths of 33.5, 35, 40 and 48 inches.
Performance of Toshiba’s steam turbines is enhanced through several design features that improve turbine performance and increase durability. Chief among these features are advanced steam paths with optimized reaction stages, advanced sealing with sensitized packing, transonic vane profiles for last stage blades, low bearing losses and reduced pressure drop at the turbine inlets/outlets.
