Toshiba's HCV-6KA vacuum contactor utilizes the latest vacuum and solid state technology developed by Toshiba. The vacuum contactor uses a solid state, electronic control (drive unit) that can be powered between 100 and 240 V and AC or DC power without changing the coil and/or other internal parts. The HCV-6KA also incorporates Toshiba's patented "Axial Magnetic Field Type Electrode", which results in high current interruption in a smaller footprint than any comparable vacuum contactor.
