Johnson Controls Recognizes Toshiba with Supplier Award for Second Consecutive Year

HOUSTON, TX — Dec. 20, 2016 — Toshiba International Corporation (TIC) recently was awarded a 2016 Bronze Execution Award by Johnson Controls. The award is Toshiba’s second consecutive Bronze Execution Award and was presented at the 2016 Johnson Controls Supplier Awards Dinner. Criteria for the award included consistent performance in the areas of quality, service, supply chain management, commercial, and sustainability.

John Rama, director of the TIC motors business unit, Deanna Mulligan, director of OEM sales, and Ari Mihos, senior OEM sales representative, were on hand to accept the award at the Supplier Awards Dinner hosted at the Milwaukee Yacht Club in Milwaukee, WI.

For more than 10 years, TIC has manufactured adjustable speed drives for Johnson Controls. The drives are used in applications including chillers and building efficiency equipment. Toshiba and Johnson Controls most recently teamed up to unveil a 12-volt lithium-titanate battery designed for advanced start-stop vehicles.
