Culture

Corporate Social Responsibility is essential to TIC's efforts to earn the trust of society. As with all Toshiba Group Companies, we are committed to people and to the future. We conduct ourselves to the highest ethical standards and business practices, resulting in a strong commitment to community involvement, quality of products and services, environmental protection and safe operations.

Standards of Conduct

We adhere to Toshiba Corporation's Standards of Conduct which outline the expectations for conduct in all our actions, as a business and as a member of the community. These Standards exist not only to guarantee that we remain ÿa socially significant company but also to ensure that our employees can always be proud to work for Toshiba.

Community

We participate in a number of socially beneficial activities to promote a better society. Our community involvement focuses on health, sports and cultural programs as well as the beautification and preservation of the environment. We are also involved with schools through our sponsorship of youth science and technology programs.

Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental Policy (QSHE)

We are committed to quality products and services, safety in the work place and environmental protection.

At the heart of this commitment is our QSHE policy which states that we will:

Exceed customer expectations by providing the best products and services

Meet existing industry rules and guidelines

Improve products and services to preserve our environment, prevent pollution and operate in a safe manner

Quality

Quality is at the core of our tradition and culture and is the common denominator for all of our products.

We are a founding member and leader within the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA).

Our products meet and exceed the NEMA quality and performance standards for industrial products.

Our commitment to quality goes beyond our products. We have a company-wide program focused on maintaining and improving product quality and services. Our Quality Management System complies with ISO 9001. In addition, we also comply with the following certifications for products and applicable markets: Underwriter Laboratories Inc. (UL), Canadian Standards Association (CSA), European Community (IEC), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), In stitute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and Japan Industrial Standards (JIS).

Safety

We are committed to providing a workplace that promotes the health, safety and well-being of our employees, customers, contractors and visitors. Our safety program is based on management leadership and commitment, employee involvement, work site analysis and safety training.

A safe working environment is a must for all of our facilities. For that reason our President has enacted a safety program to encourage and recognize employees and departments that display excellent safety practices, make significant safety improvements, or otherwise perform above and beyond minimum safety expectations.
