E-32: PTC failure

Cause:
E-32: PTC failure is caused by an input positive temperature coefficient thermistor activates or the connection to the PTC fails.
Clearing:
1) Check the motor and PTC. Verify temperature of the motor is within the nominal range and the PTC is set up correctly
2) Check the wiring of the PTC thermistor to the drive. The connections should be landed on RR and CC terminal. 3) Verify the programming of F645-F646 matches the thermistor being used. Inspect the motor and driven equipment for issues prior to clearing any faults. Use one of the following methods to clear the fault.
• The [STOP/RESET] button on the AS3 keypad was pressed twice in quick succession
• Activate a digital input that has been programmed to “Reset” function
• Set the tyP (F007) Parameter to: 4: Clear past trips
Discussion
This fault is typically caused by an overheat on the motor as detected by the PTC thermistor. This indicates that the motor has reached a pre-set thermal level. Before attempting to clear, verify that the motor has cooled sufficiently to continue operation. This fault can also occur when the wiring connecting the PTC to the drive is damaged or cut. Verify that all wiring is installed correctly. This trip can also occur if parameters F645-F646 are set incorrectly. Refer to the AS3 installation and operation manual for settings and verify that programmed settings match the characteristics of the thermistor.
