E: Emergency off

Cause:
Emergency off or E-stop Is an externally generated fault and does not indicate a problem with the VFD. E-stop occurs when one of the following happens:
1) The [STOP/RESET] key on the AS3 keypad is pressed twice in quick succession.
2) A digital input terminal assigned to the Emergency Stop function changes state.
3) An Emergency Stop command was received via communication.

How to clear an E-stop:
Because E-stop is generated externally, it is important to verify that any e-stop pushbuttons, pull chains or other safety devices are re-set and to verify that communications to the drive via PLC Inspect the motor and driven equipment for issues prior to clearing any faults. Use one of the following methods to clear the fault.
1) The [STOP/RESET] button on the AS3 keypad was pressed twice in quick succession
2) Activate a digital input that has been programmed to “Reset” function
3) Set the tyP (F007) Parameter to: 4: Clear past trips
Discussion
Emergency off is always initiated by a source external to the drive and is typically used for
protection and safety functions such as an emergency shutdown switch.
Keep in mind that the drive might not reset if the terminal or communications are still in the
E-stop mode.
