Err5: Communication time-out (RS485)

Cause:
Err5: Communication time out error (RS485) occurs when the communication between an external device and the RS485 communications on the ASD times out.
Clearing:
Check the wiring between the external RS485 device and the input on the ASD. Verify that external device is powered on and operating correctly. Inspect the motor and driven equipment for issues prior to clearing any faults. Use one of the following methods to clear the fault.
• The [STOP/RESET] button on the AS3 keypad was pressed twice in quick succession
• Activate a digital input that has been programmed to “Reset” function
• Set the tyP (F007) Parameter to: 4: Clear past trips
